What this tool does

vCard QR Code Generator packs your contact details into a QR code. Scanning it opens a ready-to-save contact card on the other person's phone, so nobody has to type a phone number or spell an email address. Useful on business cards, email signatures, name badges, and posters.

How to use

  1. Fill in the fields you want to share — every one is optional except that you need at least a name, phone, email, or organization.
  2. Watch the QR code build itself as you type.
  3. Adjust colors if you are matching a brand.
  4. Download PNG for digital use, or SVG for print.

Notes

  • Everything runs locally — your contact details are never uploaded.
  • Fewer fields make a simpler, easier-to-scan code.
  • The output follows the vCard 3.0 format, which phones handle most reliably.

Frequently asked questions

What happens when someone scans it?

Their phone recognises the contact data and offers to save it as a new contact, with the fields already filled in. No app or internet connection is needed on their side.

Are my contact details stored anywhere?

No. The code is generated in your browser and the data lives only in the image you download. Nothing is sent to a server, so there is no profile page or tracking link behind it.

Why does the code get denser as I add fields?

A QR code stores the text itself, so more fields mean more data and a finer pattern. If it becomes hard to scan, drop optional fields such as the address or note, or print it larger.

Can I update the details later?

Not in an already-printed code — the data is baked in, which is also why it works forever without any service behind it. If your details change, generate a new code.

Does it work with non-English names and addresses?

Yes. Text is encoded as UTF-8, so Korean, Japanese, accented characters, and other scripts are preserved exactly.
