What this tool does
Rotate PDF turns pages that came out sideways or upside down — a common result of phone scans and older scanners. You can rotate the whole document or only the pages that need it, and the fix is saved into the file itself rather than being a temporary view setting.
How to use
- Drop a PDF onto the box above.
- Pick 90° clockwise, 180°, or 90° counter-clockwise.
- Name the pages to turn, or leave the box empty for all of them.
- Click Rotate PDF and download the corrected file.
Notes
- Rotation is relative: applying 90° to an already-rotated page adds to it.
- Everything runs locally — the document never leaves your device.
- Page content is untouched, so text stays selectable.
Frequently asked questions
Why does my PDF look fine in one app but sideways in another?
Some viewers let you rotate the view without saving it, so the file itself still carries the old orientation. This tool writes the rotation into the document, so every app shows it the same way.
Can I rotate only some pages?
Yes. Type the pages in the box — for example 1-3, 5 — and only those are turned. Leaving it empty rotates every page.
Does rotating reduce quality or make the file bigger?
No. Only a page attribute changes; the text and images are left exactly as they were, so quality and file size stay essentially the same.
What if a page is already rotated?
Rotation adds to what is already there. Applying 90° twice gives 180°, which is handy when you need to nudge a page around step by step.
