What this tool does
Split PDF pulls pages out of a document. You can either extract a selection — say pages 1-3 and 8 — into a single new file, or break the document apart so every page becomes its own PDF. It all happens in your browser, so the original never leaves your device.
How to use

Notes
- Page numbers start at 1, and an open range like 8- means 'page 8 to the end'.
- Everything runs locally — nothing is uploaded.
- The original file on your device is not modified.
Frequently asked questions
How do I write the page selection?
Use commas for separate pieces and hyphens for ranges: 1-3, 5, 8 picks five pages. An open-ended range works too — 8- means page 8 to the last page, and -3 means the first three. Leaving the box empty selects every page.
Is my document uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is read and split inside your browser, so the pages never travel over the network.
Why do I get several download buttons?
When you choose a separate file per page, each page becomes its own PDF and gets its own button, so you can save only the ones you need.
Does splitting change the original file?
No. The tool builds new documents from a copy held in memory; the file on your disk is untouched.
Are links and form fields kept?
Page content, text, and images are copied faithfully. Interactive extras that live at the document level — such as the table of contents or form data spanning pages — may not carry over into the split pieces.
